Rebel Planet is dedicated to promoting emerging talents with
local and international ties within the industry as well as providing
a venue for up and coming Filmmakers to showcase their short
films in the Entertainment Capital of the world!
Last year, 2006 was
exciting! Founded by renowned actress, director and teacher
Gloria Gifford and Festival Administrator Holly Lewis,
the festival celebrity judges on hand included Director Brian
Donnelly ("Saved" and "Weeds"), Actress Barbara
Niven ("Pensacola" and “The Rat Pack") and
Actress Bianca Lawson ("Save the Last Dance" "Breakin
All The Rules"). In addition, Calvin Brown, Jr. ("The
Proud Family") and Jacob Estes ("Mean Creek")
were judges of the Animation and Horror categories. Bob Morones
("Scarface", "Resurrection Blvd.") was the
judge for Drama.

Celebrity Judges! Sixty short films screened in eight categories!
Opening Night Celebration, a filmmaker’s
lounge and closing night awards presentation. This is just the
preview of the 2nd Annual Rebel Planet Short Film Festival of
Hollywood, set for April 20-22, 2007.
